Mongoose Power Solutions announced that Retired Lieutenant Colonel Oakland McCulloch, an internationally recognized keynote speaker and esteemed author, will serve as a keynote at the annual conference with his keynote speech titled “Our Leadership Legacy: Becoming the Leader You Were Meant to Be.” The 5th Annual Northeastern Emergency Power Conference will be held May 6-8, 2025 in Springfield, MA.
McCulloch brings a wealth of experience and insight to the conference with over 40 years of leadership experience in combat, peacekeeping operations, disaster relief operations, and boardrooms. His expertise is also reflected in his 2021 release, “Your Leadership Legacy: Becoming the Leader You Were Meant to Be,” a book that serves as a guide for aspiring leaders.
During his 23-year career in the Army, McCulloch held numerous leadership positions in the Infantry and Armor branches. His final assignment was as the Professor of Military Science at the University of South Alabama, where he led the training and commissioning of Lieutenants, significantly expanding the program during his tenure.

Following his retirement from the Army in September 2009, McCulloch joined the staff at the Bay Area Food Bank as the Associate Director during the BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. Throughout his 15 years of service with Army ROTC, he was instrumental in commissioning over 550 Lieutenants for the United States Army.
McCulloch’s exceptional leadership has been recognized with thirty-one military service awards, including the Bronze Star, eight Meritorious Service Medals, and the Humanitarian Service Medal.
In addition to serving as the keynote speaker, McCulloch will also delivery three leadership workshops.
The Annual Northeastern Emergency Power Conference brings together service technicians, owners, and managers who work in the emergency and onsite power industry, as well as facility managers, engineers and those who rely on emergency power for their organization’s critical operations.
