Spofford, NH—Michelle Hilger, Founder & Chief Connector at Mongoose Power Solutions LLC, was appointed in December 2024 to serve as a member on the PEI (Petroleum Equipment Institute) RP1400 Committee.
The PEI’s RP1400 committee is responsible for developing and maintaining recommended practices for the design and installation of fueling systems for emergency generators, stationary diesel engines and oil burner systems. It sets the standards for the safe and proper installation of fuel systems for backup power generators and similar equipment.
Hilger, whose company supports life safety & mission critical facilities, sees this appointment as an opportunity to advocate for the customers she serves. “I’m passionate about ensuring that the standards and practices developed reflect the real-world needs of the facilities and industries that rely on backup power,” she said.
Since launching Mongoose Power Solutions in April 2019, Hilger has been instrumental in supporting emergency and onsite power systems. In addition to her PEI committee appointment, she serves on three UL Standards & Engagement technical committees, as a board member with the New Hampshire Society of Healthcare Facility Managers (NHSHFM), and on the I Build NH/I Build VT advisory board.
